Everyone’s favorite time-tripping speedster siblings are back, as XS and Impulse take a journey through their father’s historic rise to Central City’s champion in the trailer for the upcoming new episodes of THE FLASH!
They’ve got this! At least that’s what Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy) the daughter of super-speedster Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and media mogul Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) is suggesting to her amply-powered brother Bart Allen (Jordan Fisher) in the newest trailer promoting the return of The Flash on The CW. At the conclusion of the 5-part team-up event “Armaggedon” that opened Season 8, a post-credit stinger provided a glimpse of what was to come when the show returns on its new night Wednesday, March 9, and the pair are up to their usual antics.
XS and Impulse traveled back to the present from the future in Season 7’s finale to assist in an epic beatdown of the villainous Godspeed that required the entire Flash Family including the “Golden Age” Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp), and Iris to suit-up again, even enlisting an assist from their archenemy, The Reverse-Flash, Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh). At the conclusion of that adventure, the pair were present to witness their parents renewing their vows, before returning to their proper timeline. The first new episode of Season 8 in 2022 picks up right where that episode left off.
Here’s your #FANSEYEVIEW of the new trailer for DC’s The Flash on The CW:
The pair return to the future only to discover that not all is right with the timeline and that they may have interfered with the natural order of things, a classic faux pas in terms of The Flash narrative throughout the series legacy. XS and Impulse have no choice back to travel back and correct whatever errors to the timeline their jumps may have caused, and that means going back to where it all began! The episode is expected to chronicle the unexpected return of several familiar faces from the show’s history including a return for Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne, who died in Season 1.
The episode will also mark the series new move to Wednesdays at 8 pm, from its previously held spot of Tuesdays at 8 pm where it has dominated as one of The CW’s hits in primetime.
Season 8 of DC’s THE FLASH | starring Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker with Jesse L. Martin will return with new episodes on The CW, Wednesday, March 9 @ 8 pm EST.
