HBO Max and DC fans get their First Look at the upcoming new season of TITANS which will be debuting on the new premium service and is revealing a much darker tone as the beleaguered team of next-gen heroes emerge as a team as one of their own falls to the dark side!
Titans together again! It all appeared quite precarious for our team of superheroes at the conclusion of their sophomore season! Along with battling one of their most nefarious adversaries, the group suffered a major loss when Donna Troy (Conor Leslie) was struck down in combat, but when Titans Season 3 premieres the Titans are basking in a new-found popularity! With Nightwing (Brenton Thwaites) stepping up, the one-time sidekick to Batman is now leading the charge until another tragedy brings him back to his old hunting grounds of Gotham City!
There’s been another Death in the Family and Dick Grayson returns home to console his mentor, Bruce Wayne (Iain Glen from Game of Thrones) who is mourning Jason Todd (Curran Walters). As Robin, Todd inherited the role vacated by Grayson, but has never really lived up to expectations. Living in Dick’s shadow is tough enough, except when it also encompasses the shroud of Batman. Jason decides that he’ll take on Gotham City’s most dangerous criminal himself and ends up getting beat to a bloody mess by The Joker!
Determined to pick up the pieces Dick reunites with a former colleague Barbara Gordon (the series regular Savannah Welch) GC police commissioner and the former Batgirl, who isn’t too happy that the Titans have come to town, but who else is Nightwing going to call to deal with an underworld agent of chaos who calls himself Red Hood and may have ties to the Caped Crusader’s rogues gallery! Based on the best-selling comic books series by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez the new season of Titans is going to blow the roof off as it moves to its new home on HBO Max August 12.
