At COMIC-CON: TV Guide Reveals this Year's Cover Models!

Making the cover of this year's TV Guide Special Comic-Con issue will be a handful of primetime favorites including the latest DC Comics star to join the line-up on The CW this fall. Supergirl (starring Melissa Benoist) will be getting in on the action and joining the #DCTVCW multiverse moving into the Monday night slot when the new season premieres in October.

It's a huge move that saved the show which had a admirable following on its original network CBS, but like a certain other Scarlet Speedster that made his primetime launch in the 1990s, the Girl of Steel just didn't seem to fit in with the demographic. Rather than lose out on a good thing, the show's producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg decided to more wisely align the show with its sister series on The CW.

Supergirl joins Arrow, The Flash, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow when all the shows promise to pack a bunch Monday through Thursday on The CW!

The other hero gracing the TV Guide cover gallery includes Grant Gustin starring in The Flash returning for its third season, and after a cliffhanger that had faithful fans witnessing Barry Allen taking a very dangerous turn toward a very familiar looking "FlashPoint" moment, how different will the show be it returns in October...and consequently will Barry's actions have an affect on all the shows including Supergirl?

Many speculate that is how Superman's famous cousin will be inducted into the continuity, but we'll have to wait and see. Other shows appearing on the covers of TV Guide include NBC's Blindspot and another fan favorite CW mainstay Supernatural!

Those lucky enough to attend this year's San Diego con can pick up these special Comic-Con commemorative issues at the event, or check out your local newsstands for a copy of your own.
